Cheers!


IN THE VEIN OF FOUND ART let's look at the Cheerios box. I enjoy looking at commercial photography and trying to discern the subtext. TD Canada Trust is the best. They've got a whole slough of questionable images. Or how about the Rogers adverts that come in the mail filled with images that make television watching into this amazing group participatory love-in. This content affects human beings. Eye contact is everything.

  1. The subtext appears to say that Cheerios will make your family come together for a delightful picnic and everyone will be happy and pleasant and beautiful.

    This photo looks more like an engagement party than a family breakfast.

    I guess they wouldn't sell a lot of cheerios if the picture was of a bunch of cranky kids pulling each other's hair at the table!
